Why ChatGPT should be used by ever business and marketer.

This is a three-minute educational read with real actionable tactics.

THE INTRO

Lots of talk about AI and Chat GPT recently.

And rightfully so, it has the potential to revolutionize the way we think about marketing - and business. As more and more businesses turn to digital channels (content marketing strategies) to reach customers, chatbots and language models can provide a more personalized and efficient way to engage with audiences. I’m expecting to see a lot more uses come up in 2023, leveraging these technologies in a variety of ways to improve how entrepreneurs, small businesses, and big corporates implement their strategies.

I break down some the current ways you can use Chat GPT and AI for your business, and where it could go next.

THE BREAKDOWN

Natural Language Processing
One of the main ways that ChatGPT and other language models can improve marketing is by providing a more personalized experience for customers.

Humans are expecting more from brands in order to get their attention. Personalization - whether through the timeliness of advertisements or the unique customer journey individuals go through - will be a core focus moving forward.

By using natural language processing, these technologies can understand the context of a conversation and provide personalized responses.

For example, a chatbot can ask a customer about their preferences and then recommend products or services based on their answers. This can lead to a more engaging and satisfying experience for customers and can also help increase conversions.

A great example of this is HubSpots chat bot - providing a variety of options for users in an easy click-and-go on a unique journey to what they are looking for.

Automation
Another way ChatGPT and language models can improve marketing is by automating repetitive tasks.

For example, a chatbot can answer frequently asked questions and handle customer support requests, freeing up human employees to focus on more complex and high-value tasks.

What you can do:

  • List out the common questions you get in your business

  • Go to Chat GPT and ask it to create responses for the main problem

  • Review, adjust, ensure they are accurate and incorporate into an FAQ page on your website.

Content Ideation
What I’ve seen Chat GPT get used the most for are generating ideas.

Generating ideas for blog posts, social, white papers, email funnels - you name it and you can get a great foundation to build off of in seconds.

For e-commerce/SaaS companies: Incorporate your products and ask for a detailed product description highlighting some of the features and benefits of your product. You’ll now have great content on your selling pages, explainer videos, and social.

Use this as a tool to start from, not something to copy + paste.

SEO Strategies
Don’t know how to improve your SEO strategies?

Here’s how you solve that: By understanding the intent behind what people are searching for along with relevant and accurate responses to users, Chat GPT can improve the discoverability of your website.

It not only connects with people that are looking for the content you are putting out, but crafts it in a way that is still pleasant to read. It takes a very time-consuming process and simplifies it in seconds, ultimately increasing your website traffic in the meantime.

Sales Hooks & Messages
Not sure how to connect with someone on LinkedIn? Ask the bot.

Now, we are far from having an authentic/genuine message written by AI, but, it gives some great examples and a place to start from.

In approaching any prospect or person you’d like to connect with - being your transparent self is the most vital. I was curious as to what Chat GPT would provide in a message, so here’s what I asked it:

Me: What is a great descriptive and authentic sales message to a prospect when trying to sell brand and marketing services?

ChatGPT:

To be fair, for limited information provided, it doesn’t do a bad job. I’ve seen worse come across my inbox.

THE CONCLUSION

We can expect more people talking, working on, and using Chat GPT in 2023.

Chatbots and language models like ChatGPT have a huge potential to revolutionize the way we approach marketing, business, and communicating with one another.

Its ability to provide personalized experiences, automate repetitive tasks, generate a wide variety of content, and improve SEO strategies can greatly benefit any business - and something I’m going to continue to explore.

But I’ll be using it as a tool - and not direct content creation - as you want to ensure your messaging is personal, authentic, and real - something AI has not yet mastered.
